Bio
Michael Prasuhn got his start on the Internet in the mid 1990s building websites for the fledging new medium. Quickly finding the tools of the day inadequate to easily build dynamic websites he took a break to pursue other opportunities. After the dot com bust Michael returned to web development with rising interest in web 2.0. He spent over a year evaluating the latest content management systems and frameworks before he finally found what he was looking for in Drupal in the middle of 2005. From that time on he has worked within the Drupal community, taking Drupal development full time in 2007, expanding his experience by working for various Drupal development shops, and participating in Google Summer of Code.
Since co-founding Shomeya, Michael has taken on a new passion for spreading the good fortune he found in the Drupal community and makes time for local meetups and camps organized around Drupal. He believes that good code is mandatory for any project to excel, and always does his best to contribute at the highest possible level and enable others to contribute in the same manner. Michael's background in communication theory naturally led him to open source software, where he believes that you must give to receive, and gives back to the community whenever and however possible.
Michael lives in Portland, Oregon with his wife Sarah, his daughter Nilit, and his dog and faithful coding companion Zeke.
